HVAC Technician / AC Engineer

The Opportunity
Our client, a leading provider of facilities management services, is seeking an experienced AC Engineer to join their on-site engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled AC Engineer to work within a commercial environment, delivering high-quality maintenance and repair services across a range of HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities

Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC and refrigeration systems within a commercial setting

Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) to ensure optimal system performance

Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment

Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant health & safety standards and industry regulations

Identify opportunities for system improvements and recommend solutions

Support and mentor junior team members where required

Maintain accurate records of work completed using CAFM systems

Ensure all tasks are completed within agreed service level agreements (SLAs) and KPIs
-
Communicate effectively with internal teams and stakeholders regarding technical issues

Operate as a proactive AC Engineer, ensuring minimal downtime across all systems
Requirements

F-Gas Certification (Category 1 preferred)

Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar HVAC or AC Engineer role

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Experience working within commercial building environments

Familiarity with CAFM systems (e.g., Maximo or similar)

Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office)

Good communication and organisational skills
Additional Information

Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks (up to 20kg+)

Comfortable working at height and using ladders where required

Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
