Job Title: E-commerce Assistant
Location: Chelmsford - Rural location own transport needed
Job Type: Temporary to Permanent
Hours: Full Time - Monday-Friday - 8AM-5PM
Salary: £12.71 per hour + dependent on experience
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented E-commerce Assistant to join our team. This role is integral to our operations and involves close collaboration with operations, the content team, the quality team, and the wider marketing team. This position offers a unique blend of outdoor and indoor responsibilities, providing an exciting opportunity for those who enjoy a varied work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing and updating our online inventory. Including creating new product listings, updating existing ones, and liaising with the operations team to identify any required updates.
Work closely with the operations function and marketing team to ensure strong collaboration on stock levels and successful fulfilment.
Work closely with the online content team to identify opportunities and product availability.
Coordinate with the operations team to identify issues with the fulfilment process.
Regular in-person checks of the products in our warehouse to identify opportunities and issues.
Analyse large volumes of sales and product data to identify trends and provide insights for improving online performance.
Ensure the accuracy of product descriptions, prices, and stock levels.
Address internal queries and issues promptly and efficiently, including regular price amendments and sales events.
Contribute to the development and implementation of new online sales strategies.
Stay up to date with e-commerce trends, SEO and platform updates.Requirements:
Experience in an e-commerce or similar role would be advantageous.
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms like Magento, Shopify, eBay, and Amazon.
Ability to organise your own tasks to meet deadlines, with a strong sense of initiative.
Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in handling large datasets.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with tenacity and the ability to work under pressure.
