We are currently recruiting a Care Assistant for our client based in Nottingham.
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and dedicated Care Assistant to join our residential care team supporting older people, including individuals living with dementia. You will provide high-quality person-centred care, promote independence and help residents maintain their dignity, wellbeing and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate and person-centred care to older people, including residents living with dementia.

Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.

Build positive and trusting relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

Act as a Keyworker, ensuring individual care needs, preferences and wellbeing are appropriately supported.

Communicate effectively with residents, relatives and other professionals.

Organise and participate in meaningful activities that promote residents’ wellbeing and independence.

Complete accurate daily records, care notes and reports in line with care home procedures.

Follow safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and confidentiality procedures.

Promote dignity, choice, independence and equality at all times.

Recognise and report any changes in residents’ physical, emotional or behavioural needs.
Essential Requirements

Minimum 6 months’ experience working in residential care for older people, ideally with experience supporting people living with dementia.

Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care, NVQ Level 3 in Care/Social Care, or equivalent.

Knowledge and understanding of dementia care and person-centred support.

Understanding of the basic principles of care.

Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to write clear and accurate care reports and maintain appropriate records.

Experience or understanding of organising and supporting activities for residents.

Ability to provide personal care while maintaining dignity and respect.

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.

Must have the right to work in the UK.
