Sales Administrator
Location: Stone, Staffordshire (ST15)
Salary: £27,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm
Start Date: September
The Opportunity
Are you a confident administrator who enjoys speaking with customers and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes?
We’re working with a well-established business in Stone who are looking to add a Sales Administrator to their team. This is a varied role where you’ll act as an important point of contact for customers, while working closely with the wider sales team to ensure orders, enquiries and customer requests are handled efficiently.
You’ll be joining a busy and supportive environment where organisation, attention to detail and a customer-first approach are key.
What You’ll Be Doing
Deal with incoming customer enquiries by phone and email, providing helpful and professional responses
Take ownership of customer orders from initial processing through to completion
Check pricing, account information and credit details to ensure orders are entered correctly
Keep customers updated regarding order progress, delivery information and any changes
Develop positive, long-term relationships with a portfolio of customers
Follow up on outstanding quotes and enquiries to help maximise sales opportunities
Identify potential opportunities to increase orders and support the sales team's targets
Resolve customer queries, complaints and credit-related requests promptly and professionally
Work closely with Sales Representatives to ensure customer requirements are communicated effectively
Maintain accurate records and ensure all administrative tasks are completed to a high standard
Feed back customer comments, trends and potential opportunities to the management team
Process credit requests in accordance with agreed procedures and timescales
About You
We’re looking for someone who is organised, approachable and confident when dealing with customers. You’ll be comfortable managing your own workload while also working collaboratively with colleagues.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Previous experience within sales administration, customer service or a similar office-based role
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing tasks
A keen eye for detail and a high level of accuracy
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and the confidence to learn new systems
A positive, proactive attitude with a genuine focus on delivering great customer service
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
