Youll play a key role in supporting the optimisation and trading of battery energy storage systems and peaker assets. Through market analysis, modelling and performance insights, youll help maximise asset value while supporting EDFs journey towards An Electric Britain.Within BWS, the Short-Term Trading (STT) function is responsible for operating across power, gas and carbon markets in the period from minutes to one week ahead. The Flex Optimisation team manages EDFs real-time trading and optimisation activities, including live dispatch and balancing of our own and third-party assets.This is a hybrid role, with flexibility to work from home alongside regular attendance at either our London or Exeter offices, typically 2-3 days per week as required.Who You AreWere looking for a Senior Market Analyst with knowledge in energy markets, trading, asset optimisation or market modelling. Youll need experience in the battery market, with your expertise and interest in monetisation projects such as revenue optimisation, as well as analytics.
