The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our longstanding clients that are part of a global network specialising in the production, and distribution of industrial batteries and energy storage solutions.
Location: ST5 (Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent)
Job Type: Temp to perm
Pay rate: £13.20 per hour.
Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:00 to 16:30) Friday (08:00 to 15:00) – 39 hours a week standard, with the possibility of overtime through the week and on the weekend paid at T1/2.
The role:

Overhauling / reconditioning of railway battery systems.

Assist in fault-finding, troubleshooting, and minor repair work on products.

Maintain assembly and calibration records and documentation.

Assembly, wiring and connections of electrical equipment and railway battery systems.

Working within a team to achieve required orders.

Carry out training/upskilling on relevant procedures and areas.

Using a variety of different tools.

Using the company van to drive to sites and deliver parts needed for engineers

Comply with relevant UK standards and adhere to quality requirements.

Keep a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Requirements:

Background in mechanical assembly work or similar engineering environment is desirable

Best suited to someone with a technical or mechanical mindset.

Must have a valid UK driving license
