A Secondary School in Abingdon is seeking a dedicated and caring Mental Health Assistant to join their team. This role is ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Clinical Psychologists, Counsellors, Therapists, or Teachers.
As a Mental Health Assistant, you will:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students experiencing emotional or mental health challenges.
Help students develop confidence, resilience, independence, and positive coping strategies.
Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive school environment.
Observe and monitor students' wellbeing, engagement, and progress throughout the school day.
Build positive and trusting relationships with students while providing consistent emotional support.We're looking for a Mental Health Assistant who is:
