The Role
As a Float Operator, you'll provide support across various production departments, ensuring quality, efficiency and safety standards are consistently maintained.
Your responsibilities will include:
Carrying out bonding, cutting and grinding processes
Operating test beds and heating lamps
Supporting different production departments as business needs require
Assisting with machine operation and basic machine set-up
Following work instructions and standard operating procedures
Performing quality checks on raw materials and finished products
Recording production information accurately
Identifying faults, defects or inconsistencies and reporting them promptly
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Working towards production targets while maintaining quality standards
What We're Looking For

Previous experience within a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
Good IT and data entry skills
Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
A flexible attitude and willingness to learn new processes
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work
A strong work ethic and reliable attendance record
Desirable Experience
Experience operating machinery within a manufacturing environment
Exposure to technical production processes
Experience working to production targets and quality standards
