We’re seeking a Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator to join our client’s dynamic Customs Clearance & Data Bureau team. This is a varied, hands-on role combining customs documentation, data processing, client communication and operational support — perfect for someone who enjoys responsibility and variety in their day.
The Opportunity
As a Multi-Skilled Clearance Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing and processing import/export customs clearances, supporting internal departments and delivering excellent customer service.
Approximately 15% of the role involves physical checks of vehicle contents, adding variety and practical involvement to your day.

Key Responsibilities of the Administrator

Monitoring and managing shared workflow mailboxes

Processing and routing emails to internal departments

Communicating with clients via phone and email regarding job status

Receiving data files and job instructions via email and SFTP
-
Preparing, checking and processing import/export customs documentation
-
Calculating and verifying duties, taxes and international charges
-
Ensuring full compliance with HMRC and Border Force regulations

Using Sequoia, Savvy (bespoke system) and other customs entry systems

Conducting visual inspections of vehicle contents when required

Maintaining organised workspaces and contributing to process improvements

Desirable:

GCSE Maths & English (Grade C/4+) or equivalent

A/AS Level or graduate calibre

Knowledge or interest in IT, data or databases

Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables)

Experience with customs software or logistics systems
