We are currently looking for an experienced Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative to join an established in-house repairs and maintenance team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled plumber with strong multi-trade experience to secure a permanent position within the social housing sector, carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance across occupied and void properties.
? The RoleYou will be responsible for completing a variety of responsive repairs and maintenance works across residents' homes, with plumbing as your core trade alongside general multi-trade duties.
Key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out responsive plumbing repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently and to a high standard
Completing basic carpentry, patch plastering, tiling and minor building repairs
Carrying out repairs and maintenance in occupied properties while working respectfully around residents
Working across void properties, completing repairs and making properties ready for re-let
Completing kitchen and bathroom repairs where required
Using handheld devices to update job information and complete work records
Maintaining a clean, safe and professional working environment
Providing a high standard of customer service to residents?? About YouWe are looking for someone with a strong plumbing background who is confident carrying out general multi-trade repairs.
Ideally, you will have:
Proven experience as a Plumber / Multi-Trade Operative
Previous experience working within social housing, housing associations or domestic properties
Good all-round maintenance and multi-trade skills
Plumbing qualification such as NVQ Level 2 or equivalent preferred
Full UK driving licence
Good communication and customer service skills
A professional and respectful approach when working in residents' homes? What's on Offer?
