Job Summary:
Offering an exciting opportunity to join our Radiology Department in an outpatient setting with responsibilities in General Diagnostic Radiology.
Under the supervision of administrator and staff, accurately reads and interprets physicians instructions.
Performs and positions patients for x-ray exams according to the departmental standard procedures.
Practices ALARA by minimizing radiation to patients and staff by collimation, patient shielding and exposure factors.
Coordinates the patient flow, reviews the images for diagnostic and technical quality.
Checks equipment for proper functioning. Calls for repairs/maintenance as per manufacturers guidelines.
Performs QA.
Follows departmental policies/procedures, HIPPA and NYSDOH requirements.
Cleans and stocks the area.
Assists fellow co-workers in the department.
Salary commensurate with experience/qualifications
Performs other related duties.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree in Medical Radiography. License and Registration (ARRT) required. May need additional certification, depending on specialty. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is required.
