Weekend Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
***Required to take on call Friday nights, starting at 5 PM through Monday 8 AM. Be on site Saturdays and Sundays. Hours to be discussed further during interview***

We are currently seeking a talented clinician to join our team as Weekend Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON).
Summary of the Weekend Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON): Assist the Director of Nursing Services on weekends in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating, and directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern the long-term care facility.
Responsibilities of the Weekend Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):
Participate in developing, maintaining, and updating our written policies and procedures that govern the day-to-day functions of the nursing service department
Ensure that reference material (i.e., PDR'S, Federal and State Regulations, etc.) maintained at the nurses' stations is current
· Recommend to the Director written material that will assist the nursing service department in meeting the day-to-day needs of residents
· In the absence of the Director, serve on, participate in, and attend various committees of the facility (i.e., Infection Control, Policy Advisory, Pharmaceutical, Budget, Quality Assurance & Assessment, etc.)
· Assist the Director in preparing written and/or oral reports of the nursing service programs and activities to submit to such committee(s)
· Respond to need for staffing shortages by arranging for replacement staff.
· Track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to provide proactive improvement. Identify areas of concern and offer recommendations and suggestions to the Director of Nursing.
· Inform Central Supply of any supplies that are needed.
· Other special projects and duties, as assigned.
Job Requirements of the Weekend Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON):
· Long Term Care experience is highly preferred.
· Must possess and maintain a current New Hampshire license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
· Experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
· Must be able to move, lift, and position patients.
