I. POSITION OBJECTIVE
Will perform various resident care activities and related non-professional nursing services while ensuring the care of our residents is provided in a safe, caring, timely, and appropriate manner by maintaining the appropriate competencies and skills through continued education that encompasses all of these areas. This will include assisting our residents in reaching or attaining the highest potential in their physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

II. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assists residents with activities of daily living, i.e., bathing, hair care, nail care, mouth care, back care, and toileting. Performs any procedure as delegated, within the scope of practice and MCF policies. Completes and documents all care as assigned in an accurate and timely manner.
• Transports residents to and from activities and/or appointments in a timely manner.
• Assists licensed personnel with treatments and collection of specimens and takes vital signs as directed.
• Assists in keeping residents’ rooms neat; replenishes care items as needed.
• Observes residents and answer call bells in a timely manner to determine residents’
needs. Reports any unusual conditions or reactions to Nurse.
• Assists residents with shopping, packing, or unpacking personal belongings when required and as directed upon arrival, discharge, or change in level of care.
• Responds to Fire and Disaster alarms and drills according to procedure. Assists
residents to safety during an evacuation.
• Serves between meal nourishments as ordered by physician.
JOB/ POSITION DESCRIPTION
• Participates in in-service education programs and staff meetings.
• Participates in the orientation of new nursing personnel.
• Supports nursing staff with the orientation of new residents as assigned.
• Assists with ambulation, therapy programming, etc. Ensures assigned Restorative Nursing functions are completed as applicable.
• Assists with meal service (including set up, resident assistance, delivery, and clean up).
• Participates with and encourages resident engagement in activities.
III. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
IV. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Must be fully COVID and flu vaccinated per CDC guidelines and Masonic Village policy.
• Must be comfortable working with COVID-positive patients.
V. LICENSES/ CERTIFICATIONS
• Current certification as a Nursing Assistant required.
