Community Health Centers is seeking a Clinical OB Social Worker to join our team at our Riverside Avenue location. Under the supervision of the Behavorial Health Manager, the OB Clinical Social Worker will provide effective clinical and medical social work services to psychosocially high-risk OB patients of the Community Health Centers. The OB Clinical Social Worker will conduct psychosocial assessments, and provide diagnosis, case management, crisis interventions, behavioral medicine interventions, brief behavioral health interventions, and psychotherapy.
Education & Experience:
➢ Master's in social work from a graduate school of social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).
➢ Experience providing psychotherapy
➢ Experience in a medical setting a plus
Licensure, Certification or other Requirements:
➢ Licensed as independent clinical social worker in the state of Vermont - LICSW
➢ Licensed in alcohol and drug counseling in the state of Vermont - LADC desired
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
➢ Knowledge of current behavioral medicine approaches to OB services a plus.
➢ Ability to utilize cognitive-behavioral and dialectical interventions in support of OB patients.
➢ Understanding of mindbody and biopsychosocial implications of OB health.
➢ Strong written/verbal skills.
➢ Ability to engage in direct and professional communication.
➢ Ability to complete all written paperwork in a timely manner essential (written assessments, tx plans, progress notes, etc.).
➢ Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
➢ Experience with addictions counseling a plus.
➢ Experience with counselling children and adolescents a plus.
➢ Ability to present in a professional manner benefiting the organization.
➢ Knowledge of the principles, standards, and ethics of Social Work and ability to demonstrate
standards of care and ethics when working with client/patient populations.
➢ Knowledge of transference and countertransference.
➢ Willingness to work some flexible hours if needed.
➢ Ability to seek supervision when needed or appropriate.
➢ Strong case management, psychotherapy, and crisis intervention skills.
➢ Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse laws and regulations
