Personal Assistant to Managing Director
£42,000 – £47,000 + Package | West Midlands
The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced, highly organised and proactive Personal Assistant to provide first-class support to the Managing Director of a well-established construction business with a turnover of approximately £75m.
This is a key position within the business, requiring someone who is confident operating at senior level, highly professional and able to manage a varied and fast-paced workload with discretion and sound judgement.
The successful candidate will become a trusted member of the senior management team, providing day-to-day support to the Managing Director and helping ensure the smooth running of their professional commitments.
The Role
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing a complex and demanding diary, including meetings, appointments and travel

Coordinating meetings with clients, contractors, consultants and senior stakeholders

Preparing agendas, papers, presentations and meeting documentation

Taking accurate minutes and following up on actions where required

Managing correspondence, emails and telephone calls on behalf of the Managing Director

Organising business travel and accommodation

Preparing reports, documents and presentations to a high standard

Handling confidential and commercially sensitive information with complete discretion

Coordinating senior management meetings and company events
-
Assisting with client and stakeholder communications

Supporting the Managing Director with projects and ad-hoc business requirements

Liaising with internal departments to ensure actions and deadlines are followed through

Acting as a professional ambassador for the Managing Director and the wider business
About You
We are looking for someone who is experienced, polished, highly organised and commercially aware.
You will ideally have:

Proven experience as a PA, Executive PA or EA supporting a senior executive

Excellent organisational and time-management skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Exceptional attention to detail

The ability to prioritise and manage competing demands

A high level of confidentiality and discretion

Confidence dealing with senior colleagues, clients and external stakeholders

Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

The ability to work independently and use initiative rather than simply waiting for instruction

A calm, professional and personable approach

Previous experience within construction, property, engineering or another professional environment would be advantageous
