We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a Service Administrator to join a reputable dealership in Reading, Berkshire. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual seeking to build a rewarding career within the automotive industry. The Service Administrator will be responsible for managing workshop bookings, liaising with customers, and supporting the efficient operation of the Service Department. Our client values individuals with strong organisational skills and a proactive approach, whether or not they have previous automotive administrative experience.
Benefits for the successful Service Administrator:
Basic salary up to £31,000 plus £4,000 bonus
Monday to Friday, 8am - 5pm
One Saturday morning in four (8am - 12pm)

Friendly, family-oriented working environmentDuties of the Service Administrator:
Book customer vehicles in for routine maintenance, MOTs, and repairs, maximising workshop capacity
Provide customers with timely updates on vehicle progress
Assist with job card preparation and accurate invoicing for MOTs and repairs
Support the workshop by scanning job cards and maintaining vehicle service records
Promote additional workshop services and repair work to increase sales
Order parts and subcontract work to ensure smooth workflow
Conduct post-service feedback calls to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain health and safety standards and adhere to company policies
Support general administrative duties including filing and processing paperwork
Assist the team with any additional tasks to ensure smooth workshop operationsRequirements of the Service Administrator:
Proven organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience working in a busy environment and handling multiple tasks effectively
Ability to interpret customer and internal instructions accurately
Technical understanding of automotive repair processes; experience with HGV or commercial vehicles advantageous
Proactive attitude and positive approach to problem solving
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
