Finance, Payroll & Compliance Administrator
Part-Time | Permanent | Fully Remote
Our client is a growing education-focused charity supporting young people through a range of programmes. Due to continued growth, they are bringing their previously outsourced finance and compliance functions in-house and are looking for an experienced Finance, Payroll & Compliance Administrator to join them.
This is a newly created, permanent role offering 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for hours to increase as the role develops.
The Role
A varied, hands-on position covering finance, payroll, HR, compliance and general administration. You will take ownership of day-to-day financial processes and ensure payroll, regulatory and employment requirements are managed accurately and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
Day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations and payment processing
Gift Aid administration and financial reporting
Purchase invoices, expenses and credit control
Monthly payroll, including starters, leavers, HMRC and pension administration
Payroll year-end processes, including P60s and P11Ds where applicable
Charity and regulatory compliance and annual returns
Insurance renewals and liaison with brokers
HR administration, employee records, right-to-work and background checks
Supporting recruitment and employment documentation
General administrative support across the organisation
About You
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper with strong payroll experience. Ideally, you will have:
AAT qualification or equivalent experience
At least 5 years' relevant finance/administration experience
At least 3 years' payroll processing experience
Good knowledge of pensions, statutory payments and payroll legislation
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
The ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong IT and communication skills
Charity or education experience is desirable but not essential
Package
25 hours per week, Monday-Friday (5 hours per day)
£22,000-£28,000 for 25 hours, depending on experience
£35,000-£45,000 FTE
Fully remote working
Training and handover provided remotely via Microsoft Teams
