Site Administrator
Location: Blyth, Northumberland
Contract: Freelance / Temporary
Duration: Long-term opportunity - minimum two years
Rate: Competitive, dependent on experience
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Administrator to join a major data centre scheme in Blyth.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile, technically complex project with a leading main contractor. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor, ideally within a large-scale construction, infrastructure, industrial or data centre environment.
The Role
As Site Administrator, you will provide essential administrative and document control support to the project team, helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the site.
Key responsibilities will include:
Providing general administrative support to the site management team
Managing site documentation, records and filing systems
Assisting with document control and ensuring information is accurately recorded
Managing site inductions and maintaining relevant registers
Updating spreadsheets, trackers and project databases
Assisting with timesheets, site attendance and workforce records
Supporting the preparation of reports and project documentation
Coordinating correspondence between site teams, subcontractors and the wider project team
Ordering office/site supplies where required
Maintaining accurate and organised project records
Supporting the Site Manager and Project Manager with general administrative duties
About You
The successful candidate will ideally have:
Previous experience working as a Site Administrator / Project Administrator within construction
Experience working for a Tier 1 main contractor is highly desirable
Experience on large-scale construction or technically complex projects
Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent organisational and administrative skills
Strong attention to detail
The ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Good communication skills and the confidence to liaise with site teams, subcontractors and senior management
A professional and proactive approach to their work
Data centre experience would be highly advantageous, although candidates from other large-scale construction or infrastructure backgrounds will also be considered
