The Role
As an Audit Associate, you'll play an important role in delivering high quality audit and advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients across a range of sectors. Working alongside experienced Managers and senior colleagues, you'll gain exposure to every stage of the audit process while taking increasing ownership of your own assignments.
You'll also have the opportunity to mentor junior team members, strengthen client relationships and continue building both your technical and commercial expertise.
Your Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients
- Completing audit fieldwork and testing with minimal supervision
- Assisting with the preparation of statutory and consolidated financial statements under UK GAAP
- Building trusted relationships with clients and providing an exceptional level of service
- Identifying opportunities to add value and support clients with wider business needs
- Managing your own workload to ensure deadlines and budgets are achieved
- Supporting and developing junior members of the team through coaching and feedback
- Working closely with Managers and Partners to deliver successful client outcomes
About You
You'll already have experience working within a UK accountancy practice and be looking for a firm where your development is genuinely supported.
You'll ideally have:
- ACA or ACCA part qualified, or AAT Level 4 qualified
- Experience auditing clients within a UK practice environment
- Experience preparing financial statements and supporting tax computations
- Exposure to a range of clients across different sectors
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive attitude with a genuine desire to learn and develop
- A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across East Anglia when required
