Learning Support Assistant - Complex Needs Mansfield
Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children and young people with complex learning needs?
Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a Specialist Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming SEND setting in Mansfield. This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), and complex needs, helping them access learning, develop independence, and reach their individual goals.

The Role
As a Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with SLD, MLD, and complex learning needs
Provide 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual EHCP targets
Assist with communication, social development, and emotional regulation
Adapt learning activities to meet a range of abilities and needs
Work closely with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
Promote independence, confidence, and positive engagement in learning
Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for all pupils
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
At least 12 months' experience working within a UK educational setting
Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND
A good understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management
A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
The right to work in the UKExperience supporting pupils with complex needs, communication difficulties, sensory needs, or personal care requirements would be highly advantageous.
