A leading organisation within the infrastructure and engineering sector is seeking an experienced and proactive Administrator to join their team in Falmer on a short-term temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business where you'll play a key role in supporting employee engagement, customer communications, community initiatives and day-to-day business operations.
This varied position would suit a highly organised administrator who enjoys working with people, managing multiple priorities and providing exceptional support across several business functions.
Your new role
As Administrator, you will act as a central point of coordination between internal teams, customers and external stakeholders. You'll provide comprehensive administrative support while helping to ensure effective communication across the organisation.
Key responsibilities will include:
Supporting HR communications, employee engagement activities and internal announcements
Assisting with the preparation and distribution of company communications and updates
Acting as a first point of contact for customer enquiries and correspondence
Supporting community engagement initiatives and stakeholder communications
Coordinating meetings, diaries and team events
Maintaining accurate records, databases and documentation
Preparing reports, presentations and administrative paperwork
Providing general office administration support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
Managing routine logistics and helping keep teams organised and efficientThis is a broad and varied position offering exposure to multiple areas of the business, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a busy and diverse role.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
Previous experience in an administrative, office support or coordinator position
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement abilities
Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing workloads
A proactive and flexible approach to work
High attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Word and Excel
The ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues, customers and external contactsExperience supporting HR, communications, customer service or community-focused activities would be advantageous but is not essential.
