SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH)

ANZUK Education is working closely with a wonderful Church of England Secondary School to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time role.
This position will focus on supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to feel safe, supported, and engaged in their learning.
The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs

Support emotional regulation, behaviour, and engagement with learning

Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored strategies

Help create a calm, nurturing, and structured learning environment

Support pupils both in and out of the classroom when required
Requirements:
-
Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally SEMH
-
A patient, resilient, and empathetic approach
-
Ability to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff

Commitment to working full time

Experience in a primary or junior school setting is desirable
