We are recruiting a junior estimator to work for a well-established fit-out building contractor delivering high-quality commercial and workplace projects in London and the South-East
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career in estimating within the construction industry. You will work alongside the companies experienced estimator gaining hands-on experience across a wide range of projects.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.

Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.

Measure quantities from drawings using digital take-off software.

Obtain and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.

Help prepare bills of quantities and pricing schedules.

Maintain supplier and subcontractor databases.

Liaise with project managers, site teams, and clients where required.

Support the handover of successful tenders to the delivery team.

Carry out general administrative duties within the estimating department.
You will need:

Previous experience in construction, estimating, quantity surveying, or a related role is desirable but not essential.

A qualification in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a similar discipline is advantageous.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Excellent attention to detail.

Good communication and organisational skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

A willingness to learn and develop within the construction industry.
