Overhead Crane Slinger
Location: Loughborough
Job Type: 6 months ( Temp to perm)
Working Hours: Mon to Thurs 7am -4pm, Fri 7am to 1pm
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Overhead Crane Slinger to join a busy and well-established manufacturing company in Loughborough. This is an excellent opportunity to secure a long-term, temp-to-perm position with a company that values safety, teamwork, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
Operating overhead cranes ranging from 25-tonne to 150-tonne capacity.
Slinging and safely moving large steel coils and other heavy products around the site.
Matching product numbers and ensuring materials are moved to the correct locations.
Working closely with production and logistics teams to maintain efficient workflow.
Carrying out pre-use equipment checks and following all health and safety procedures.
Working at height where required in accordance with site procedures.
Requirements
Previous experience as an Overhead Crane Slinger.
Valid FLT (Forklift Truck) Licence.
Experience operating overhead cranes up to 150 tonnes.
Working at Heights training or certification.
Ability to accurately identify and match product numbers.
Strong awareness of health and safety within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Reliable, hardworking, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
