Payroll Administrator | Up to £30,000 | Leigh
KPI Recruiting has partnered with a well-established and growing business based in the Leigh area who are looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Administrator on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused payroll professional who has experience managing end-to-end payroll processes and providing high-quality administrative support to the wider HR team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time.
Process monthly payroll changes including starters, leavers, salary amendments, overtime, bonuses, absences, and statutory payments.
Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure all payroll data is kept up to date.
Work closely with HR Advisors to provide payroll administration support and ensure employee queries are handled efficiently.
Provide accurate advice and guidance to employees and managers regarding payroll-related queries.
Support HR processes by maintaining accurate employee information and ensuring payroll and HR systems are aligned.
Complete payroll checks and reconciliations to identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, including PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments, and pension requirements.
Assist with payroll reporting and provide accurate payroll information when required.
Maintain confidentiality and ensure all payroll and employee information is handled securely in line with GDPR requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
Skills:
Proven experience processing end-to-end payroll (required).
Strong understanding of payroll processes, legislation, and statutory requirements (required).
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate work within deadlines (required).
Strong administrative skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent communication skills with the confidence to support HR Advisors, managers, and employees.
Ability to investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies effectively.
High level of IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Outlook, and Word (required).
Experience using payroll and HR systems (desirable).
CIPD or payroll qualification (desirable).
