Customer Service Officer – Housing
Pay: £14.48 per hour
Location: Lyndhurst
Hours: Monday to Thursday: 8:30am–5:15pm | Friday: 8:30am–4:45pm
The role will be hybrid working, with 50% of time in the office, though initial training will require full time working in the office.
Duration: 6 months
About the Job
We're looking for a friendly and organised Customer Service Officer. You will be the first person customers speak to when they need help with housing services, whether that is over the phone, online, or in person.
What You'll Be Doing
· Answering customer questions and giving advice about housing services.
· Taking payments and recording compliments, complaints, and bookings.
· Logging housing repair requests and booking appointments.
· Updating customer records and entering information accurately on internal systems.
· Helping with general admin tasks and daily paperwork.
What We're Looking For
· GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or equivalent).
· Previous customer service experience.
· Experience taking cash or card payments is helpful.
· Able to stay calm and work well in a busy environment.
· Friendly, professional, and confident when speaking to customers.
· Good computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Fast and accurate typing skills.
· Reliable, flexible, and happy working in a busy call centre using a headset.
