Job Title: Production – TIG Mop Operative
Location: Sparkford, BA22 7JJ
Position Type: Full-time, 40 hour week
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Summary:
We’re looking for an energetic, hardworking Tig Mop Operative to join our fast paced mechanical production department. The position requires the operative to remove weld stains from various metals, using mild chemicals, whilst adhering to Health and Safety protocols. All training will be provided for this position.
You will be working alone, but as part of a team process, with efficiency and commitment to complete your work, and strive to maintain the business performance targets. At times you will also be required to work within the production area, using hand and air tools to produce a variety of products, at the required efficiency, whilst adhering to the desired quality.
Responsibilities:

Adherence to H&S procedures and regulations.

Using mild acid chemicals to remove weld stains from various metals wearing the required PPE

Meeting daily targets with accuracy and efficiency

Operating and maintaining factory and equipment

Assembling products using hand tools and equipment within the production area.

Inspecting and testing products to ensure that they meet specifications and requirements.

Collaborating with other team members to meet production goals and deadlines.

Develop and implement strategies to optimise production processes and improve efficiency.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Requirements:

Previous experience of factory production e.g. basic assembly and quality control, or factory operative job role is preferable.

Knowledge of machinery, hand tools, equipment and materials used in production, a plus.

Reliable person with good time keeping

If you're interested in becoming our new Tig Mop Operative, it's important to note that this job may require a level of physical stamina as it can involve repetitive motions and standing for long periods of time. Also, it requires attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions and procedures.
It is important to know and adhere to the industry specific regulations and safety guidelines. You will be required to wear full PPE when working in the Tig Mop Area.
You will undergo training, coaching and work with the Supervisory team to identify training needs as well as potential risks and continuous improvement in our operation. You will also ensure that a high level of health and safety compliance, within company policy is always adhered to.
