Custody Team Administrator
As a Custody Team Administrator within the Offender Management Unit at HMP Peterborough, you will play a vital role in supporting the prison's offender management processes. Working within a busy and fast-paced environment, you will provide accurate administrative support, manage sensitive information, and undertake specialist training in sentence calculation to help ensure legal compliance and the smooth running of custody administration. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented administrator looking to develop specialist knowledge within the justice sector.

Main Responsibilities
Administer court processes, including reviewing court warrants and prisoner attendance at court.
Complete specialist training in sentence calculation and become licensed to carry out HMPPS sentence calculations.
Maintain accurate records, filing systems, and confidential offender information.
Liaise with internal departments, courts, probation services, and external stakeholders.
Monitor deadlines, produce management information, and support reporting requirements.
Manage shared inboxes, telephone enquiries, and provide administrative support to the Offender Management Unit.Please see attached job description for further information regarding the role requirements
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a fast-paced administrative role.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Confident using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team while handling confidential information professionally.
