Print Operative
£13.00 per hour, Burgess Hill, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday rotating shifts (06:30am - 3:00pm and 10:00am - 6:30pm), Permanent, 20 days holiday + bank holidays, pension, healthcare scheme, team events
The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Print Operative to join a growing manufacturing business specialising in the production of specialist print solutions. Reporting to the Production Supervisor and working closely with Production, Design and Client Services teams, the Print Room Operative will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of digitally printed products, ensuring all work meets client specifications and company quality standards.
Producing printed products in line with production schedules and required specifications
Operating print equipment and software in accordance with company procedures
Ensuring all work meets company, material and client quality standards
Handling and preparing materials correctly to achieve a high-quality output
Completing maintenance, safety and quality checks and maintaining accurate records
Recording material usage, production time and operational data accurately
Packing, labelling and preparing products for dispatch
Supporting colleagues across production areas during busy periods
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
Contributing ideas to improve quality, efficiency and reduce wasteRequirements
The successful Print Operative will have previous experience within a print or manufacturing environment, with large format print experience highly desirable. Experience operating print equipment or software such as Onyx or similar systems would be desirable, although training can be provided. You will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to your work. The Print Room Operative will be comfortable working to deadlines whilst maintaining high quality standards and accuracy throughout the production process. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Print Operator, Large Format Print Operative or Production Print Technician.
