Are you an experienced Commercial Account Handler looking for a role where you'll be genuinely valued and given the opportunity to build long-term relationships with clients?
We are currently working with a highly regarded and rapidly growing insurance group, who are now looking to strengthen their team with the appointment of a Commercial Account Handler to join their office in Gravesend.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that deals with a real mix of commercial lines, and on top of your usual “general commercial” clients, you will also get to work on some really niche lines of business, including Petrochemical clients and Travelling Fairgrounds too!
The Opportunity
As a Commercial Account Handler, you'll be responsible for dealing with a range of commercial clients, providing first-class service and technical support across a wide range of insurance products.
You'll be working closely with clients, insurers and colleagues to ensure policies are administered efficiently and that clients receive the advice and support they need throughout the policy lifecycle.
Your duties will include:
Managing day-to-day client enquiries
Processing mid-term adjustments and policy amendments
Preparing and negotiating commercial renewals
Obtaining and comparing quotations from insurers
Producing policy documentation and ensuring records are maintained accurately
Supporting clients with claims-related enquiries
Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Ensuring all work is completed in line with FCA and company compliance standardsAbout You
To be considered for this role, you'll need previous experience working within a commercial insurance broking environment (at least 2-3 years) and be comfortable managing your own portfolio of clients as well as experience using the Acturis system (this is essential) and ideally have experience with etrade processing too.
We're particularly interested in speaking with individuals who have:
Strong commercial insurance knowledge
Experience handling new business, renewals and general account management responsibilities
Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with the ability to support more junior members of the team.Progress towards Cert CII qualifications would be advantageous, although it is not essential.
