Customer Service Adviser - Financial Services - Skipton

We're looking for a Customer Service Adviser to join a growing customer contact team, supporting savings customers across the UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an organisation that values development, flexible working, and putting customers first.
📍 Location: Skipton, North Yorkshire
📅 Start Date: 24th August 2026
⏰ Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday (shifts between 8:00am-6:00pm)
🏠 Hybrid Working: Office-based during training, followed by up to 2 days working from home
📄 Permanent, Full-Time
The Role
As a Customer Service Adviser, you'll be the first point of contact for customers, helping with a range of savings-related enquiries. Whether it's opening a new account, processing transactions, updating account details, or supporting ISA transfers, you'll deliver a friendly, professional, and tailored service.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting customers with savings queries, transactions, and account updates
Understanding customers' needs through meaningful conversations
Recommending relevant products and services where appropriate
Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve positive customer outcomes
Handling complaints and supporting vulnerable customers with empathy and care
Delivering excellent service while contributing to continuous improvement
About You
We're looking for someone who:
Has previous customer service experience
Possesses excellent communication and listening skills
Takes a customer-first approach and builds rapport easily
Remains calm and professional in challenging situations
Works well to service standards and targets
Is eager to learn, develop, and build a long-term career
