£110 - £120 per day, depending on experience
35 hours per week, Term Time only
8.30am to 4pm Monday to Friday
Up to £120 per day for candidates with extensive experience or qualifications such as Teaching Assistant at NVQ Level 2 or aboveNot only will you gain invaluable first-hand experience in a secondary school environment, you will also have the opportunity to network with Speech and Language specialists and ELSA practitioners based at the school. You will play an important part in supporting our team, to provide high‑quality learning and accessibility support to young people and adults with SEND. This includes enabling learners to access and achieve within their programmes, helping them engage with College services and activities, and supporting the development of learning/study skills and outcomes identified in their Educational Health & Care Plans (EHCPs).
About the role
Working in a mainstream secondary school that has a high number of pupils with SEND needs
Deliver classroom support for Key Stage 3 pupils either 1:1 or groups of students
Understand and support independent learning and inclusion of all students as required
Support the teaching in monitoring, assessing and recording pupil progress
Monitor and manage stock and supplies for the classroom
Supervise students between lessons and when entering and leaving the schoolThe right candidate
Maths and English GCSE grade A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent
Experience of working with young people, particularly those with SEND needs.
Confident to converse with parents, students and members of the public
