School Administrator
Location: Plymouth
We are seeking an organised, professional, and friendly School Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school and act as a key point of contact for pupils, parents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

Managing the school reception and handling telephone and email enquiries.

Maintaining accurate pupil and staff records.

Processing attendance, admissions, and general administrative tasks.

Supporting school leadership and teaching staff with administrative duties.

Managing correspondence, filing, and data entry.

Assisting with school communications and events.

Ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection requirements.
Essential Requirements

A current Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the DBS Update Service is mandatory and must be in place before employment can commence.

Excellent organisational and administrative skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.

High levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
Desirable Requirements

Previous experience in a school administration role.

Experience using SIMS (School Information Management System).

Knowledge of school procedures, attendance management, and safeguarding requirements.

Experience working within an educational environment.
