Job Description:
JOB TITLE: General Cleaner
REPORTS TO
Mechanical Services Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
To provide a general cleaning service in the offices, rest rooms, laboratory, reception, restaurant and conference and training rooms.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Clean the toilet areas as detailed on the cleaning schedule.

Empty all office bins as detailed on the cleaning schedule, and dispose of waste in the collection bins provided.

Polish and vacuum corridors as detailed on the cleaning schedule.

Polish brass door fixtures as detailed on the cleaning schedule.

Polish and vacuum office areas, and polish desks and cabinets by arrangement with occupants as detailed on the cleaning schedule.

Stock check cleaning cupboards once per week and restock when required. Order cleaning supplies as required ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained. Keep the cleaning cupboards clean and tidy.

Comply with relevant Quality, Health, Safety and Environment standards and regulations, in particular the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) regulations.

Comply with all Security processes and procedures.

Carry out any other duties which may be required in order to facilitate the efficient and effective running of the department as requested by the relevant Department Manager.
