As a School Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring the office runs efficiently and providing a welcoming first point of contact for staff, students, parents, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include managing administrative processes, maintaining accurate records, and working closely with the senior leadership team to support the smooth running of the school.
Responsibilities of a School Administrator:
Provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team, teaching staff, and wider school community.
Manage the school reception, welcoming visitors and responding to telephone and email enquiries professionally.
Maintain accurate pupil records, attendance, and other confidential data using the school's management information system.
Use Bromcom daily to manage student information, attendance, reporting, and administrative tasks.
Process admissions, leavers, and other pupil-related documentation in line with school procedures.
Prepare letters, reports, meeting documentation, and other school communications.
Coordinate appointments, meetings, and school events where required.
Ensure all administrative records are accurate, up to date, and compliant with school policies and GDPR.
Provide excellent customer service to parents, carers, staff, students, and external agencies.
Support the smooth day-to-day running of the school office and undertake general administrative duties as required.
Qualifications and Skills of a School Administrator:
Previous experience working in a school administration or school office environment.
Essential: Experience using Bromcom.
Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a busy workload.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
A proactive approach with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
