Canteen Assistant - Plymouth
£12.71 hourly rate plus £1.94 p/h weekend allowance + £1.94 p/h after 6pm
31.5 hours, 4 days per week - including weekends
Shift ranging 8am-2.15pm twice a week, and 8am-6.30pm twice a week (rota provided in advance)

We’re looking for a Canteen Assistant to join our team at our Plymouth depot.
With around 140 colleagues working on site, our canteen plays a big part in keeping everyone fuelled and feeling looked after. If you’ve got kitchen know‑how and a passion for great service, this could be a brilliant opportunity to grow your career in a business that puts people first.
What you’ll do:
Cook and prepare hot and cold meals, following all hygiene regulations and standards
Make sure vending items are prepared and available across all shifts
Maintain clean and tidy serving, kitchen and eating areas
Work on the tills, serving colleagues and handle money confidently
Order food products and manage kitchen supplies weekly
Work with the back office to co-ordinate deliveries and ensure they are paid on arrival
Complete periodic stock takes for vending items
What you’ll bring:
Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene
Experience working in a kitchen environment
Strong food preparation and service skills
A friendly, helpful approach and great customer service
