Teach Now is seeking an experienced and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to support a small group of children within a specialist SEND unit at a vibrant two-form entry primary school in Enfield.
This full-time, long-term role is ideal for someone with strong SEN experience who is confident supporting children with Autism and complex needs. The successful candidate will work closely with the SEN team to help pupils access learning, develop confidence, build independence and engage positively throughout the school day.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
• Support a small group of SEND pupils within the schools specialist SEN unit.
• Work with children with Autism and complex needs.
• Help pupils access learning activities and classroom routines.
• Support communication, emotional regulation and social development.
• Encourage independence, confidence and positive engagement.
• Use calm, consistent and nurturing support strategies.
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and wider support staff.
• Help create a safe, inclusive and structured learning environment.
Requirements
The successful candidate will have:
• Sufficient experience supporting children with SEN.
• Experience working with Autism, complex needs or similar additional needs.
• A calm, patient and resilient approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Confidence supporting small groups of pupils.
• The ability to follow learning and behaviour support strategies.
• A genuine passion for helping children with SEND reach their full potential.
