Job Title: Class 2 Refuse Driver
Location: Hounslow
Pay Rate: £18.97 per hour
Contract: Full-time, Temporary to Permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am start!
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 2 Refuse Driver to join our waste and recycling team in Hounslow. You will be responsible for operating a refuse collection vehicle safely while working alongside a team of loaders to collect household and commercial waste across the borough.
Key Responsibilities
Safely operate a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle.
Complete daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects.
Follow designated collection routes and schedules.
Work closely with the refuse collection crew to ensure efficient service delivery.
Adhere to all road traffic legislation and health and safety procedures.
Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork.
Deliver excellent customer service when interacting with members of the public.
Requirements
Valid UK Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
Driver CPC qualification.
Digital Tachograph Card.
Good understanding of drivers' hours and vehicle safety regulations.
Previous refuse or waste collection experience is desirable but not essential.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Good communication and teamwork skills
