Location: HX2 Area
Salary: From £27,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Thursday - 6:45am to 3:15pm
Friday - 6:45am to 11:45am
Overtime: Available

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Overhead Crane Operative to join a busy structural steel manufacturing facility based in the HX2 area.
This is an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position with a well-established engineering business offering long-term career prospects, regular overtime and an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities
Operating overhead cranes to safely move structural steel throughout the workshop.
Loading and unloading steel sections onto production machinery and transport vehicles.
Supporting fabrication and production teams with the movement of materials.
Carrying out pre-use checks on overhead crane equipment.
Following safe lifting procedures and company health & safety procedures.
Assisting with the organisation and storage of steel products.
Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
Working efficiently to production schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.Experience Required
Previous experience operating overhead cranes within a manufacturing, engineering or structural steel environment.
Valid overhead crane certificate preferred (although experience is essential).
Experience handling large steel sections or heavy engineering products.
Good understanding of health and safety procedures.
Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
Good attention to detail and a positive attitude.What's on Offer
