Spire Clare Park Hospital is looking for an experienced Bank Healthcare Assistant to join our skilled Pre‑Assessment team. This is an excellent opportunity for HCAs with strong clinical capability to work flexibly while contributing to safe, effective patient preparation within Wales' largest private hospital.
We're looking for individuals who can confidently support clinical tasks such as observations, ECGs, phlebotomy and pre‑operative checks, and who are also able to support with administrative duties when required.

Duties and responsibilities:
Working under the supervision of qualified nursing staff, you will contribute to the delivery of a high‑quality, comprehensive nursing service, ensuring every patient receives safe and compassionate care.
Supporting the nursing team to provide exemplary patient care
Carrying out routine tasks that promote patient health and wellbeing
Taking and recording accurate clinical observations
Assisting with ECGs, phlebotomy and basic nursing care
Monitoring patients and reporting any changes to the appropriate clinician
Assisting with the safe movement of patients in line with hospital policies
Providing administrative support when needed, such as updating patient records and supporting departmental documentation
Ensuring all admin tasks are completed accurately using hospital systems
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, infection control and patient dignity
Undertaking any other reasonable duties aligned with the roleWho we're looking for:

Essential requirements:
Previous experience as an HCA (or equivalent) in a clinical environment
NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare or equivalent qualification
Confidence in performing clinical tasks such as observations, ECGs and phlebotomy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong computer skills, including confident use of Word and Excel
Ability to support administrative tasks when required
Willingness and ability to learn new systems; knowledge of SAP is essentialBenefits
