Job Summary
My client is seeking a reliable and experienced FLT Driver/Warehouse Operative to join their dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating forklift trucks, managing warehouse activities, and ensuring the efficient handling of materials.
Duties
- Follow procedures within the warehouse to ensure efficiency and safety
- Carry out daily forklift safety checks and report defects
- Load and unload vehicles
- Move, stack and store products in designated warehouse locations
- Accurately pick and place orders in the designated delivery locations
- Assist in daily stock audits
- Maintain a flexible approach to work
- Carry out general warehouse duties when required
Requirements
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks (valid certification preferred)
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment
- Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and stock organisation
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic mathematical skills for counting, measuring, and recording data accurately
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
- Prior warehouse experience is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
