Whatyou’llbe doing
As a Multi Skilled Operative, you’ll play a key role in producing high quality aggregates used across the construction industry. Reporting directly to the Quarry Section Manager you’ll work closely with the team helping to keep operations running safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. You will also be:
Operating a mobile crusher
Inputting data into app-based systems
Supporting weighbridge operations when required
Mobile plant operations including 50t excavator, loading shovel, tractor and bowser
Working with other members of the team to ensure that customers get good quality material
Assisting the Quarry Section Manager with meeting daily/weekly production targets
Ensuring plant always conforms with safety requirements and following Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies, procedures and responsibilities
Helping site to achieve Key performance indicators
Complete mobile plant inspections
Ensuring plant preventative maintenance and availability is maximised
Working to keep housekeeping around site to a high standard
Whatwe’relooking for
Wewantpeople who are reliable,proactiveand eager to develop. Youdon’tneed to tick every boxastraining will be provided for the right person.Suitable candidates will have:
Experience in quarrying, construction, manufacturing, or similar (preferred but not essential)
Mobile plant experience such as Excavators,loading shovel or mobile crushers(advantageous)
A strong safety mindset with proven attention to detail
Good communication skills and confidence raising issues
A flexible approach and team focused attitude
Good timekeeping and reliability
Basic IT skills
Full UK driving licenceBased at Clitheroe Quarry in the Ribble Valley, Lancashire, this role is commutable from Accrington, Blackburn, Burnley,Skiptonand surrounding areas.
