Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Assistant Town Planner to join their successful London team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated planning professional to gain exposure to a diverse range of projects spanning residential, mixed-use, commercial, infrastructure, and regeneration developments. You will work alongside experienced planning consultants and directors, providing planning advice to clients and supporting projects through the planning process from inception to delivery.
The role offers outstanding professional development, direct client exposure, and a clear pathway towards RTPI chartership and career progression.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications and appeals.
Undertaking planning policy research and site appraisals.
Preparing planning statements, supporting reports, and consultation responses.
Monitoring planning applications and local plan developments.
Liaising with local authorities, clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
Supporting senior colleagues on complex planning and development projects.
Contributing to business development activities and client relationships where appropriate.
About You
Degree qualified in Town Planning or a related discipline.
Working towards RTPI membership or recently qualified.
Previous experience within a planning consultancy, local authority, developer, or property environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent report-writing and analytical abilities.
Commercial awareness and an interest in the development sector.
Proactive, organised, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
