Production Administrator
Warrington | Office-Based | Full Time
Recruited exclusively by Osprey Engineering
Osprey Engineering is recruiting on behalf of our client, a specialist industrial hose manufacturer based in Warrington. We're looking for a Production Administrator to join their small, close-knit team — a pivotal role at the heart of their day-to-day operation.
Are you an organised, customer-focused administrator who thrives in a busy, hands-on environment? You'll work closely with the workshop, management, customers, and suppliers to keep orders moving, records accurate, and service standards high. If you enjoy variety and take pride in keeping things running smoothly, this could be the perfect fit.
What You'll Be Doing
-
Preparing accurate customer quotations based on product requirements and lead times
-
Processing sales orders, work orders, and production documentation
-
Raising invoices, delivery paperwork, and shipment documentation
-
Handling customer enquiries by phone and email, keeping clients updated on order progress
-
Liaising with workshop staff to monitor job status, schedules, and delivery timescales
-
Supporting stock administration — maintaining records of components, fittings, and finished goods
-
Coordinating deliveries and collections with couriers, suppliers, and customers
-
Maintaining accurate filing systems and electronic records across orders, invoices, and stock
-
Acting as a first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls
-
Collaborating with one other office-based colleague to ensure seamless daily cover
What We're Looking For
-
Previous experience in administration, customer service, sales support, or a production office
-
Confident handling quotations, order processing, invoicing, and day-to-day transactional admin
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
-
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
-
A professional, friendly communication style with customers, suppliers, and colleagues
-
Competent in Microsoft Office — particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
-
Proactive and flexible — happy to support a small team across a wide range of tasks
-
Background in manufacturing, engineering, logistics, or an industrial environment is a bonus, but not essential
Why This Role?
This is a varied, genuinely important role where you'll be a central figure — not a cog in a large machine. You'll have real ownership of your work and the chance to make a visible difference every day in a friendly, supportive team environment.
