Air Conditioning Technician
Location: Southampton
Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00am - 17:00pm + overtime
Pay: £12.71-14.25 per hour
Driver Hire Southampton are recruiting for an Air Conditioning Test Technician to join an established air conditioning company based in Southampton.
This role involves testing and inspecting air conditioning units before dispatch, completing quality checks, recording results, and supporting general warehouse operations. You will work as part of a hands-on team ensuring equipment is fully tested, prepared, and ready for customers.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a practical background, warehouse experience, or an interest in engineering and technical work.
The Role:
You will be responsible for testing, checking, and preparing air conditioning units while supporting the wider warehouse and service team.
Duties Include:
Carrying out testing and quality checks on air conditioning units
Checking equipment functionality and identifying any issues
Completing test sheets, paperwork, and reporting results
Preparing units for dispatch
Loading and unloading deliveries
Operating a counterbalance forklift (licence required)
Checking, organising, and maintaining stock
Assisting with basic mechanical adjustments where required
Supporting general warehouse dutiesAbout You:
Previous warehouse, engineering, electrical, or technical experience preferred
Practical and mechanically minded
Good attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures
Comfortable working with equipment and carrying out checks
Reliable, organised, and able to work independently and as part of a team
