Location: Howden, DN14 7HZ
Work Pattern: Onsite (with travel to other sites)
Contract Length: Initially 6 months
Hours: 40 hours per week (7:30am - 4:30pm)
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Pay Rates
PAYE: £15.00 per hour
Umbrella: £19.25 per hour
Overtime: 150%
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse and Logistics Assistant to join our clients team on a 6-month contract. This is a hands-on, onsite role based in Howden, with regular travel to other warehouse locations including Washington and Wigan.
You will play a key role in ensuring all inventory is accurately recorded, managed, and maintained in line with operational and audit requirements.
A company van will be provided for travel, and all business-related expenses will be reimbursed. Occasional overnight stays may be required.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately record and manage all inventory movements in line with audit standards
Support the Site Stores Supervisor with inventory management and reporting
Carry out goods-in, goods-out, picking, packing, issuing, and dispatching stock
Maintain accurate system and manual inventory records
Conduct weekly and annual stock counts and monitor inventory accuracy
Ensure inventory (including tools and safety equipment) is securely controlled
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Follow all operational processes and procedures
Use equipment safely and ensure it is properly maintained
Provide flexible support across multiple locations as required
Essential Skills & Experience
Full UK driving licence (DVLA)
Willingness to travel regularly between sites
Flexible and adaptable approach to work
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organisational skills
Ability to follow processes and procedures
Reliable, positive, and proactive attitude
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable (Not Essential)
Previous warehouse or stores experience
Experience using SAP
Familiarity with inventory management systems
