Bridge Recruitment is working with a well-established and respected law firm in Kent that is looking to recruit an experienced Legal Secretary to join its busy Private Client department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Legal Secretary with Private Client experience to join a supportive team and provide full secretarial support to fee earners handling a varied caseload of wills, probate and estate administration matters.
Key Responsibilities
Providing full secretarial support to Private Client fee earners
- Audio and copy typing of legal documents and correspondence
- Preparing Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), Codicils and Probate documentation
- Assisting with estate administration and probate matters
- Managing diaries, appointments and client meetings
- Liaising with clients and handling Private Client enquiries
- Opening files and completing AML and ID checks
- Maintaining accurate file records and departmental administration
- Supporting fee earners with billing, file management and matter progressionRequirements
Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a Private Client department
- Strong knowledge of Wills, Probate and Estate Administration
- Excellent audio and copy typing skills
- Experience managing diaries and client communications
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage a busy workloadDesirable
Experience preparing estate accounts and inheritance tax forms
- Knowledge of BigHand, Oyez Forms, Excel and Partner for WindowsBenefits
