At Fairhive, we’re growing our renewable services and are looking for a skilled Renewable Operative to help deliver high-quality, sustainable heating solutions across our homes. This is a great opportunity to develop your expertise in air source heat pump systems while making a genuine difference to residents’ comfort, safety, and energy efficiency.
About the role
You’ll be responsible for delivering a full range of air source heat pump (ASHP) services across occupied and void properties, including servicing, repairs, fault diagnosis, and supporting installations.
Your role will include:

Servicing, maintaining, and repairing air source heat pumps and domestic heating systems

Diagnosing faults and delivering a right-first-time, cost-effective solution

Inspecting properties to assess and plan required works

Recording all work accurately using a PDA system

Supporting both planned and reactive maintenance programmes

Working collaboratively with the wider heating team, including supporting gas servicing when required
As a key representative of Fairhive, you’ll provide a professional, friendly service to residents, ensuring a positive customer experience on every visit.
You’ll also take part in a call-out rota to support emergency repairs outside of normal working hours.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for a skilled tradesperson with strong technical knowledge and a customer-first mindset.
You’ll have:

NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Plumbing, Heating, or Mechanical Installation (or equivalent)

ACS qualifications and Gas Safe registration

Experience working with domestic heating systems, ideally including air source heat pumps

Full UK driving licence

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability

Good IT skills (PDA / job systems)

Excellent communication and customer service skills
