Job Overview
We are looking for a reliable and organised Post Room Assistant to support the day-to-day operations of our post room. You will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring timely distribution, and maintaining accurate records. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries efficiently
Prepare and dispatch outgoing post, parcels, and courier shipments
Operate franking machines and ensure correct postage is applied
Record and track deliveries, ensuring accurate logging where required
Liaise with courier services and manage collections
Handle internal mail distribution between departments
Assist with bulk mailings and special delivery projects
Maintain a clean, organised, and secure post room environment
Report any issues with deliveries, delays, or discrepancies
Provide general administrative support when requiredKey Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a post room, mailroom, or administrative role (desirable)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload effectively
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Basic IT skills (e.g. Microsoft Office, email systems)
