Why now?
The energy market is undergoing its biggest transformation in 50 years. We're no longer just managing electricity; we're making it intelligent. RABOT is experiencing triple-digit growth. We have the product, we have the market fit – now we need you to get the engine running at full speed. We're not looking for administrators, we're looking for architects of our growth.
The Smart Squad is the gateway to everything that makes RABOT what it is. This is where our customers' smartification journey begins: dynamic tariffs, smart meters, intelligent control systems. What happens in this Squad determines whether customers experience RABOT as just an electricity provider – or as the partner who helps build their energy future.
Our company operates on a squad principle. You're not above the squad in terms of disciplinary authority. But you're the person who brings together specialists from Product, Tech, Sales, Ops, and Data, creates a shared vision, and fosters a climate where high performance and humanity go hand in hand.
In practice, this means you moderate squad sessions where decisions are made about what's important next. You prioritize the roadmap with Product, sort out escalations from Sales, and give Tech clarity on what really matters next. You act as a liaison between disciplines – and you know your squad's numbers so well that you can base decisions on data, not gut feeling. You are responsible for the financial management of your squad, in close coordination with senior management.
You're not here to manage what's already working. You're here to get even more out of a strong squad, both culturally and in terms of performance.
Your results
We won't throw you in at the deep end, but we expect you to learn to swim. After 12 months, your success will look like this:
After 6 weeks (onboarding)
- You conducted 1:1s with all squad members, the neighboring teams, and your sparring partners from management.
- You know the economic logic of your squad, the most important KPIs, and the current issues in detail.
- Within the squad, it's clear who you are – and you know where the squad really stands (not just what's in the reporting).
Month 3 (Ramp-up)
- You have made your first independent decisions and communicated them transparently.
- Within the squad, there is trust: you are perceived as part of the squad, not as an outside sponsor.
- You have identified and prioritized the biggest levers for the next 9 months.
Month 6 (Performance)
- The squad works independently and at high speed. You will be actively involved in managing the KPIs.
- Initial improvements in processes and efficiency are visible – not in slides, but in the numbers.
- Psychological safety is noticeable in the squad: challenges are addressed early, not just when they escalate.
Month 9 (scaling)
- You bring your own recommendations to management, not just open questions.
- The first levers have a measurable impact on the business.
- The roadmap for the next few quarters is in place and understood by the squad.
Month 12 (Scale)
- The Smart Squad is reliably delivering against its quarterly targets and showing visible growth.
- Other squads will orient themselves towards your way of working.
- Escalations to management levels are the exception, not the rule.
We don't filter by titles or years of experience. We filter by substance. Who you are on your resume tells us less than what you've actually achieved in your previous roles.
- You've finished things that were difficult – professionally, entrepreneurially, athletically, personally. You know what perseverance takes. When things get tough, you move forward, not towards the door.
- Those who work with you improve. You share knowledge, pass on credit, and build people up instead of relying on them. For us, that's not a soft skill – it's a prerequisite.
- You won't lose sight of the bigger picture. Even when everyday life gets noisy, you can explain to your squad why this particular topic is important right now, and in this way – and make it so tangible that it resonates.
- You understand more than one discipline. You don't have to be an expert in every role. But you can listen to a tech person without losing the thread, and talk to a sales person about funnels without hiding your knowledge. You translate between worlds.
- Pace without shoulder-to-shoulder tactics. You move fast, but not over people. You combine speed and empathy – integrating a squad of very different people instead of just coordinating them.
- Numbers don't scare you. You enjoy working with data, not against it. You don't read a profit and loss statement every day, but you don't start from scratch when someone talks about margin.
- Languages. Fluent German and English (C1+ level in each) are non-negotiable for this role.
Ideal to have: experience in the energy market, smart meter business, squad models, or from a hyper-growth environment (scale-up, startup, young business unit). None of this is mandatory.
- Responsibility with impact: Economic responsibility that you don't bear alone – management is at your side. And a business area that we will develop further together with you.
- Culture: Transparency before politics. Plain speaking, even if it's uncomfortable. Learning from mistakes, not blame.
